Documentary film about The Silent Steppe Cantata

The enigmatic Republic of Kazakhstan is the ninth-largest country in the world, the origin of tulips and apples, home of nomads and the silk road, and also the destination for the ambitious artistic project, The Silent Steppe Cantata. “The Nomad's Song” film will document the creation of the Cantata as well as the journey of three disparate artists and their trials and tribulations during this expedition. The film will also utilize unique archival footage, found in Kazakhstan, rehearsals and interviews with musicians, along side with the film director's own original vision and transformational perspective of culture and artistic process. The excerpt from the live performance of the Silent Steppe Cantata, filmed in Kazakhstan, will end the film as a final realization of this international and ground-breaking collaboration. Coming Spring 2011.
